Clarification of "brownfields" legislation msg Posted: February 19, 2001
Regarding my earlier posting on the status of "brownfields" legislation in the 2001 Kentucky General Assembly, the message should have clarified that the tentative agreement on capping liability for innocent parties in the case of state error in approving closures, and funding further remediation in that case, is an agreement in principle, subject of course to language revisions. The Kentucky League of Cities is still reviewing the bill at this time.
