Patton sues legislature over vetoes: Herald-Leader report  Posted: June 5, 2001
According to a report in today's Lexington Herald-Leader, Governor Paul Patton is suing the state legislature in an effort to limit legislative vetoes of the executive rule-making process. These vetoes have invalidated many administrative regulations since May 1998. Meanwhile, the legislature has itself failed to enact law on these same issues.
