KRC Assists In Challenge To VA Hospital Proposal

« Latest News
KRC is working with the StroboBarkley law firm in the City of Crossgate's challenge to decision of the VA to build a new hospital on Brownsboro Road in Louisville.  The suit raises questions of compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act by the VA.

The lawsuit, filed on March 16, 2018 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, raises numerous challenges to the Veterans Administration's compliance (or lack thereof!) with the National Environmental Policy Act.  The decision to relocate the Zorn Avenue hospital to the suburban Brownsboro Road - Watterson Expressway location, has been challenged by the City of Crossgate.

An agreed-upon briefing schedule has been submitted, and the Department of Justice has indicated that the VA has no current intention to move forward with construction while the suit is pending.  The complaint, as filed, can be reviewed here.
