Sue Anne Salmon Community Advocacy Award
Intended to recognize those who demonstrate principled and courageous environmental advocacy for the betterment of community and the environment, as Sue Anne Salmon did for her whole life. This award is given to celebrate recent, outstanding acts of community advocacy in a way that advances environmental justice in Kentucky.
Winnie Hepler Lifetime Achievement Award
Intended to recognize an individual whose life’s work has shown dedication, selfless commitment to nature and others, and courage to speak against injustice, as has been the life’s essence of the individual for whom the award is named: Winnie Hepler.
*NEW* Tom FitzGerald Exemplary Environmental Leadership Award
Intended to recognize an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the protection of Kentucky’s environment and the health of its communities. This award honors those who demonstrate exceptional leadership in their efforts to advocate for the environment, but who also listen to and stand with impacted communities. Recipients of this award set a benchmark for excellence in environmental advocacy, driving meaningful change and inspiring future generations to prioritize the health of our environment and communities.
