KRC Endorses Sierra Club Comments In Opposition to Harlan County Strip Mine

The Council was honored to join in comments developed by the Sierra Club on October 24, 2019, and endorsed by several other organizations, regarding an application for a Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit requested by Nally & Hamilton Enterprises for a proposed coal surface mine in Harlan County, Kentucky that would disturb approximately 8,219 linear feet of stream via two permanent spoil disposal hollow fills and mining through streams.
